Mrs. Ashley Boyle

1st Grade

Hello my name is Ashley Boyle and I teach 1st Grade at Hawking 2. I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I graduated from The University of Washington in 2009 with a degree in Psychology. After finishing my undergraduate degree I spent time living in Alaska, Hawaii, and back home in Washington. In 2014 I moved to San Diego to complete my Masters in Education and Curriculum Design from The University of San Diego. I love to ski, hike, and camp. As a teacher I believe strongly in the infinite potential of all my students. In my classroom we focus on hard work as the path to academic excellence. I feel fortunate to be at Hawking teaching the future scientists who will clean up our oceans and engineer clean energy solutions.

Ms. Adriana Navarro

1st Grade

Hi! My name is Adriana Navarro, I am excited to join the community at Hawking 2! I grew up in San Diego and afterwards attended the University of California, Irvine. I received two B.A. degrees in Psychology and Social Behavior and Educational Sciences. I completed my teaching credential at San Diego Teacher Residency Program through High Tech High and I am currently working towards my M.Ed in Educational Leadership.

My goal as a teacher is to foster empathy, and create positive relationships with one another. I am incredibly excited to teach first grade because of the immense growth that happens throughout this year! I am also eager to teach students through hands-on learning and a S.T.E.A.M focused curriculum. When I am not in the classroom I am traveling, trying new food, and spending time with my two dogs.

Ms. Jennifer Abramczyk

1st Grade

Hello, my name is Jennifer Abramczyk and I am excited to teach 1st grade at Hawking STEAM 2.  I grew up in Arizona and moved to San Diego in 2010 when I began my undergraduate studies at University of California San Diego where I majored in Cognitive Science with a minor in Psychology and graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor’s of Science Degree.  I then continued my education at the University of San Diego receiving my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary Education along with my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  I love working with young students because of their daily enthusiasm to learn and discover new things!  My goal as a teacher is to create a comfortable, safe learning environment to constantly challenge my student’s minds to think deeper and learn about the world around them.  When I am not in the classroom, I am often outdoors, camping, biking, hiking and swimming.
